Hey Amazing Parents,
We are so excited that the holidays are among us and wanted to share this amazing story with you and ask for your help and if you would like to be involved in making some magic for local children in need this holiday.
As many of you know we are a supporter of the Space Coast Basket Brigade. Many of our families and children join them in personally delivering Thanksgiving meals to families in need in our community. This year we delivered 2927 Thanksgiving baskets.
Guess What Happened Sunday Night...
On Sunday night of the Brigade, as we were packing and cleaning everything up, we learned that one of the volunteers worked at a school where the children are so desperately in need their only meal each day is the one that the school provides. Teachers are sneaking food home in the kid's backpacks to be hidden or rationed between them and their siblings, they do not have underwear or proper clothing, many ask the school for shampoo as they are washing their hair with dish soap, and several are homeless and even living in their cars. We packed up everything that we had left, had the principal meet us at 7 o'clock at night, unlock the cafeteria, and surprised them with over 360 baskets - that included a Thanksgiving meal and a basket of food and school snacks for every single student to go home with on Monday. Since then we are compelled to help these children and others that we have delivered to even more. It's never been done before but we have joined them in setting the ambitious goal of ADOPTING 500 KIDS TO HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY.

We have ONE WEEK TO GO and just over 120 CHILDREN REMAINING on our list.
Our goal is to provide each of them with:
- Pajamas
- Sneakers
- Toiletries
- Holiday Gift
- Food For Winter Break
We Are Asking For Your Help!
If you would like to Adopt A Child, Donate A Toy, or Donate Items that would be amazing. You can make a donation here. Macaroni Kid Helping Children In Need Have A Happy Holiday.
$15 will donate Pajamas, $30 a Holiday Gift or Sneakers and only $75 will adopt a child completely for all of the items above.
Or if you would like to purchase and donate the items you can drop them off to one of our drop locations: Holiday Inn Viera or The Glass Doctor in Melbourne. All items and sizes are needed for kids ages 4 - 12.
We know that when a community comes together to make a difference, magic happens, and we hope that we can create some magic for these children this holiday.
