Did immense nostalgia of childhood memories by the tv just fill your heart? It did mine too when I first came across this wonderful adventure of a train ride in the Orlando area! Tavares, to be exact. The Royal Palm Railway Experience presents a unique twist on the average train ride: one combined with the beloved classic film, The Wizard of Oz™.
This two hour experience is being offered from June 8 - June 24. Just a little over two weeks of the magic! Make sure you reserve your tickets as soon as possible, as they sell out quickly. You can view their schedule here.

For all you Wizard of Oz lovers out there, this experience is an absolute MUST! Let me break down my personal experience for you, beginning with the overall amazing experience I had with staff. I was helped by a man named Brian in the seat booking process (or whatever the actual term for that is). He went above and beyond to get us all seated together despite constant changes on my party's end. He was kind and quick to find the perfect solution every step of the way!

As for the experience, everything kicked off right on time with a pre-show right outside the train station set in Muchkinland. We watched a live performance of Dorothy encountering all the good and bad witches, then following the Yellow Brick Road to come across some new friends.
We then entered the train with Dorothy and all of her little friends. And YES - photo ops all over the place! Which my daughter, #TheYoloBaby, was pumped about. Anaiah apparently needs to work on her character-photo-op-love-skills. But hey, I need one daughter to even out the other. It works! #Balance.

They then proceeded to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. Not just by themselves, but with our help too! Go justice! Go teamwork! #GoGoGo
It was a vibrant experience as we traveled on the train to get to Emerald City so Dorothy could find a way home! This portion was a live, on-stage performance inside a tent. Pretty cool! Dorothy and her friends found the Great Wizard. His big glowy face was pretty cool for me! My daughters were a little scared of him, which is good. Because you gotta respect the Wizard of Oz!
